NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A tropical wave is expected to move off the west coast of Africa on Tuesday (Aug. 11), potentially entering a conducive environment for development as it tracks westward across the Atlantic basin next week.
The National Weather Service has given it a low chance of development at 20% within the next seven days. As confidence grows, this chance will rise in the coming days.
The system is forecast to move across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic during the middle-to-latter part of next week. While some development is possible, current guidance suggests the system will remain over open ocean…
