A program providing legal counsel to New Orleans tenants facing eviction could see its funding restored after cuts threatened it in July.
The New Orleans City Council on Thursday introduced an ordinance that would allocate $750,000 to the program, known as “right to counsel.” It was authored by all seven council members.
