MASON, Mich. (News 10) – The Experimental Aircraft Association held its final Young Eagles Aviation Day of the year Saturday, giving more than 50 children from across mid-Michigan the chance to fly in small airplanes at no cost.
The event is designed to inspire young people to pursue careers in aviation. EAA members said the industry is facing a shortage of both pilots and airplane mechanics.
