Firefighters Could Not Enter Burning Illinois Home and a 69 Year Old Woman Died Inside
Thursday night started like any other in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Then, just before midnight, something changed on Kingsbury Drive.
Around 11:30 p.m., Hanover Park’s fire and police departments rushed to the 7800 block of Kingsbury Drive. What they found when they arrived was not a small kitchen fire or a contained room fire. The entire house was fully engulfed in flames.
Once the fire was brought under control, crews searched the home and found a 69-year-old woman dead inside. Her name has not yet been released. Officials say the fire is not believed to be suspicious, and an investigation is underway.
