MCDOWELL COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for multiple counties in North Carolina.
The warning ins in place until 9 p.m. EST for the following counties:
- Northwestern McDowell County
- Southeastern Mitchell County
- Southwestern Caldwell County
- Southwestern Avery County
- Northwestern Burke County
Officials warned residents to expect 60 mph winds and damage to trees and power lines.
