Hundreds of furry friends filled Frontier Park for the 2026 Corgi Fest.
What started as a corgi picnic nearly a decade ago has since grown into an annual event, with over 300 corgis at this year’s festival.

Corgi families, friends, and admirers enjoyed plenty of vendors selling merch, corgi creations, and even human and dog treats. The day also had costume contests and corgi races throughout the day.
Organizers said it’s a celebration of a special dog, bringing corgi lovers together right here in Erie.

“Corgi people are very enthusiastic about the breed. I think it’s because the breed’s not only cute, but versatile. They’re herding dogs, so they can work well with cattle and horses, they’re also good therapy dogs, some of them serve on the police force,” said Jade Mitchell, a Corgi Fest organizer…
