Small-town leaders concerned about property tax amendment’s impact

DUNDEE, Fla. — Leaders in one small town in Polk County are concerned about what a proposed state amendment could mean for their community.

Amendment 3 would increase homestead exemptions for homeowners, significantly reducing property taxes for those who qualify. Supporters say it would provide relief to Floridians struggling with the rising cost of living.
