SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) — Construction activities in Syracuse may affect drivers’ daily commutes this week.
East Colvin Street will be closed between Garfield Avenue and More Avenue in both directions from 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12. According to a statement from the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), the closure is meant to facilitate utility work as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project.
Drivers headed eastbound are suggested to follow detour signs directing traffic southon South Salina Street to East Brighton Avenue, then east on Thurber Street, and finally north on Comstock Avenue to make it back onto East Colvin Street…
