AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Transportation’s Amarillo District released its “Know Before You Go” report on this week’s lane closures, including closures on I-27 and I-40.
According to TxDOT, road closures and detours expected throughout this week include:
Sunday, Aug.9
- Beginning Sunday, Aug. 9, the left lane of I-27 will be closed from McCormick Road to State Loop (SL) 335 in both directions due to concrete barrier placement. The overnight work will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day. The work is expected to be completed by Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Wednesday, Aug.12
- Southbound I-27 traffic from McCormick Road to SL 335 will be switched to the newly-placed concrete pavement. Drivers can expect a slowdown in traffic as crews will be performing slow roll operations during this time.
