OLATHE, Kan. — For many across the Kansas City metro, this weekend marked the last few days of summer before the school year begins.
Because of this, families from all across the metro spent the day wandering around rows of golden sunflowers at KC Wine Co.’s Sunflower Festival.
Since Aug. 1, the local winery has welcomed hundreds of visitors onto its Olathe, Kansas, property for a three-weekend festival, featuring beautiful blooms of different sunflower varieties, more than 20 photo vignettes (aka selfie stations), wine slushies, farm animals and so much more…
