SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane family recovered a wedding ring from the ashes of their home after it was destroyed by the Old Trails Fire, finding a priceless piece of family history in the rubble.
Mike and Jaylinn were not home when the Old Trails Fire (part of the Spokane Area fires) burned through their house, destroying their belongings and leaving the family unable to save what was inside.
Their daughter, Jennifer, her husband, Shawn, a friend and Spokane firefighters searched through the remains for three items that were especially important to the family…
