Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of an off-duty Southern California police officer, authorities announced Monday.
The robbery happened around 1:30 p.m. July 12 near Bixby Road and Orange Avenue in Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Police said the off-duty LBPD officer was approached by two males who robbed him at gunpoint. The officer then opened fire toward the suspects before they fled. Authorities have not disclosed what was taken during the robbery…
