ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) – The 2026 Rockingham County Fair is running Aug. 10-15, at the Rockingham County Fair Grounds in Harrisonburg. The fair includes carnival rides, live entertainment, agricultural activities and ticketed grandstand events throughout the week.
Fair admission
General admission is $8 for adults. Children 6 and younger get in free, while children ages 7-12 are $3.
There are also special admission days throughout the week including discounts for seniors and free admission for certain groups.
- Monday: Admission for veterans, first responders, healthcare workers and school staff free with badge
- Wednesday: Youth Day- 12 and younger are free
- Thursday: Older adults day- 60 and older pay $2
Carnival rides
Ride prices vary depending on the time of day
- Monday at 5 p.m.: $2 Day- All rides are 2 credits each, each credit is $1, with a $2 minimum purchase per transaction.
- Tuesday at 5 p.m.: Buddy Night- two armbands are $32, or a single armband is $22.
- Wednesday at 4 p.m.: $27 armband
- Thursday at 5 p.m.: $27 armband
- Friday at 5 p.m.: $29 armband
- Saturday at 1 p.m.: $32 armband
Entertainment on the fairgrounds
Visitors can also catch several free entertainment acts throughout the fair. Showtimes vary by day, with some acts offering multiple performances throughout the afternoon and evening.

Pepsi Grandstand Events
The fair’s grandstand will feature several ticketed events throughout the week:
- Monday at 7 p.m.: Flatland Cavalry with special guest The Jack Wharf Band
- Tuesday at 7 p.m.: Clay Walker with special guest Spencer Hatcher
- Wednesday at 7 p.m.: Farm Tractor Pull and Dragon Motorsports
- Thursday at 7 p.m.: Begoon Brothers rodeo, featuring mini bulls, mutton bustin’, barrels and bull riding
- Friday at 8 p.m.: Sarge & Sons Demo Derby
- Saturday at 7 p.m.: Interstate Pullers Truck and Tractor Pull
Sunshine Ride Hour
The fair will also offer a Sunshine Ride Hour on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m.
