Driver pleads No Contest in 2024 crash near airport that killed 4

One week before his trial was set to begin, the man charged with killing four people in a 2024 crash near Dayton International Airport has changed his plea.

Clayton Hughes pleaded No Contest Monday morning to:

  • 8 counts of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide (four 2nd-degree felonies, four 3rd-degree)
  • 1 count of Aggravated Vehicular Assault (3rd-degree)
  • 1 count Vehicular Assault (4th-degree)

He also pleaded No Contest to one count of OVI and one count of Failure to Stop After an Accident, both 1st-degree misdemeanors…
