CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Nationwide rage room franchise iSmash has a new location in West Michigan.
The 6,000-square-foot facility held its grand opening last month in Cascade Township, marking iSmash’s first foray into the Grand Rapids area and Michigan as a whole. The location at 6425 East 28th St. SE near Cascade Road SE offers two distinct experiences: splatter paint and smash rooms, also known as rage rooms.

In the rage rooms, you can safely smash dishes, electronics, windshields and “an array of different things,” according to owner Jerry Brenneman.
“When I first thought of a rage room or smash center, it’s not something that I had a lot of interest in. That’s not typically my forte,” Brenneman told News 8. “However, when I first did it, there was sort of a sensation to it. It was just more exhilarating than anything that I thought possible, to be honest. Growing up, we were always taught: ‘Don’t break stuff.’ … And maybe some of us got in trouble. I know I did.”…
