MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – After a Georgia man died trying to help a girl caught in a Myrtle Beach rip current, a beach-service leader said conditions over the weekend were so dangerous that one of her supervisors struggled to swim.
Weslyn Lack-Chickering with Lack’s Beach Service told WMBF News that her lifeguards completed at least 10 rip-current rescues over the Aug. 8-9 weekend.
