VINTON, Va. (WDBJ/Town of Vinton Press Release) – The Vinton Town Council has adopted an ordinance amending Chapter 62 of the Vinton Town Code.
The purpose of the ordinance is to establish local trespassing provisions and provide additional tools for protecting private and town-owned property, according to the Town of Vinton.
The new ordinance incorporates existing Virginia law regarding trespassing into the town code and establishes local penalties for violations.
