PECOS, Tx., August 10, 2026: The City of Pecos appointed former El Paso city manager candidate, Nicole Alderete-Ferrini as Peco’s interim city manager during a special city council meeting on Thursday. Alderete-Ferrini had previously served as an assistant city manager for Pecos during the last six months.
After her appointment, Alderete-Ferrini expressed appreciation to the Pecos city council members saying that her priorities will be to “support our staff, maintain continuity of operations, uphold lawful and transparent governance, and continue serving the residents of Pecos.”
Nicole Alderete-Ferrini previously served as El Paso’s first Climate and Sustainability Officer. In 2023, city officials announced that Nicole Alderete-Ferrini would lead the city’s new Office of Climate and Sustainability department.
