EUGENE, Ore. – A man was arrested early Friday morning after he kicked a vehicle and repeatedly punched someone in the face on Willamette Street, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said officers responded to the 800 block of Willamette Street around 4 a.m. on Aug. 8. Two people told police that 31-year-old Alexander Harrelson kicked their car several times before pulling open the passenger door and punching the man inside in the face with a closed fist. The person was able to push Harrelson out of the car and close the door, and Harrelson ran away.
Eugene Springfield Fire checked on the person who was hit, but he didn’t need to go to the hospital. Officers found Harrelson later in the 900 block of Olive Street and arrested him. Police said Harrelson spoke nonsensically and had trouble forming coherent statements. Officers noticed fresh redness and swelling on Harrelson’s right hand, which matched the repeated punches…
