A Portland man pleaded guilty Monday after fleeing a traffic stop last December, crashing into another car and running from the scene. Police also found two IDs in the car bearing other people’s names.
A TriMet police officer pulled Steven Roll, 49, over on Dec. 12, 2025, after spotting him driving nearly 120 mph on Interstate 84. The officer observed a lit marijuana pipe in the passenger seat and informed Roll he was under arrest for reckless driving.
Roll then drove away hitting a tire-deflating strip before crashing a short time later into another car, a clock tower and a planter. He attempted to run from the scene before being taken into custody…
