Some prospective residents of the University of Michigan’s newest residence hall, Wolverine Village, may find themselves temporarily living elsewhere on campus, pending uncertain construction schedules.
Announced in 2022 to address the growing student population and stagnant housing supply, Wolverine Village is the University’s first major housing project in over a decade. Located on East Hoover Avenue — near the Intramural Sports Building — the complex will contain a dining hall and five residential buildings, housing a combined total of 2,300 students.
The Village was slated to finish construction by the end of summer to allow its inaugural class of students to move in before the fall 2026 semester. However, construction on the Village’s fourth building appears to be taking longer than anticipated…
