MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Travelers grabbing a slice of pizza before a flight at Miami International Airport got an unwelcome surprise when state inspectors ordered Famous Famiglia Pizzeria shut after finding rodent activity and other serious sanitation problems.
The restaurant is located in the South Terminal’s Concourse H-J connector, on the second-level departures food court at MIA.
During an Aug. 10 inspection, Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors found approximately 10 rodent droppings on the back of a preparation cooler, another dropping on the kitchen floor and approximately seven more droppings inside a cabinet drawer underneath the front counter register.…
