NEWARK, N.J. — The Newark Police Division is asking for the public’s help identifying a robbery suspect accused of stealing a woman’s cellphone outside her apartment earlier this year.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the robbery occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m. on May 12 in the 200 block of Central Avenue.
Police said the victim was taking trash outside her apartment when she was approached by the suspect, who took her cellphone before fleeing.
