Police: Man Charged After Allegedly Doing Donuts, Spraying Gravel at Child in Clintonville

CLINTONVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — An Allegheny County man faces a felony child endangerment charge and other offenses after police say he did donuts in a gravel parking lot, striking a 9-year-old child with flying rocks and causing thousands of dollars in vehicle damage in Clintonville Township.

According to court documents, 37-year-old David Alan Carricato Jr., of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, was charged on Saturday, August 8, by the Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin with the following offenses:

  • Endangering the Welfare of Children-Parent/Guardian/Other Commits Offense, Felony 3
  • Criminal Mischief — Damage Property, Misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment-Subject Other to Physical Contact, Misdemeanor 3

A trooper from Franklin-based State Police was dispatched around 2:00 p.m. on July 26 to a residence on Donaldson Road in Clintonville Township for a report of property damage.

According to a criminal complaint, Carricato arrived at the residence around 1:00 p.m. to drop off his 9-year-old son. He left and returned shortly after because the child forgot an item in his truck, the complaint states…
