Texas Man Gets Two Concurrent Life Terms For Assault On Pregnant Convenience Store Clerk

A 23-year-old Texas man will spend at least 30 years in prison for attacking and kidnapping a pregnant convenience store clerk in Montgomery County.

A jury found Logan Michael Parker guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Aggravated Kidnapping on August 5. The next day, after a short deliberation, the jury sentenced him to two concurrent life sentences in state prison. Under Texas law, Parker cannot apply for parole for at least 30 years.

According to trial evidence, Parker went into a gas station on State Highway 105 shortly after midnight to buy a drink. When his payment card was declined, the clerk used her employee discount so he could have the drink for free…
