Rollins acknowledges signature-gathering ‘confusion’ in bid for Suffolk DA

Rachael Rollins is on the defensive after reports of alleged fraudulent signatures in her papers filed to run for her old job as Suffolk County district attorney.

“I’m trying to find out what happened here,” she wrote Tuesday on the social media site X. She added: “I welcome transparency & apologize to the residents of Chelsea for all this confusion.”

Elected officials in Chelsea were listed as having signed their names to nomination papers Rollins needed to get on the Sept. 1 primary ballot. But several now say they did not sign the paperwork…
