(KRON) — Three people suspected of burglarizing mailboxes in San Bruno Monday night were arrested after being tracked down in Oakland, police said. The thefts come less than two weeks after four tubs of mail were stolen from the San Bruno Post Office.
On Monday at 11:23 p.m., the San Bruno Police Department was advised of suspects stealing mail from mailboxes on Shelter Creek Lane. Before officers arrived, the suspects fled in a white Honda car, according to authorities.
The car was later located while police searched other apartment complexes in the area. San Bruno PD said the mailbox burglars had ditched the white Honda and stole a red Honda from an apartment complex on Piccadilly Place.
