Last week, Chief District Judge Allen Winsor sentenced 60-year-old Kenneth Wetherington to 14 months in federal prison after he pled guilty to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Wetherington was arrested by the Gainesville Police Department in November 2025 and he was federally indicted a few months later.
In May 2026, facing up to 15 years in prison, Wetherington pled guilty and the sentence was left up to Winsor’s discretion…
