CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Two people suffered numerous fractures after a driver crashed into them while leading a high-speed chase throughout Cumberland County over the weekend, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Jordan Smith, 26, of Mechanicsburg, faces a total of 20 charges that include fleeing or attempting to elude officer, aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI and recklessly endangering another person, according to court records.
The filed criminal complaint says a Trooper was sitting in the area of the shopping plaza along E. High Street in Carlisle Borough when they spotted Smith, who was driving a Toyota sedan at a high rate of speed around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

After the Trooper turned on their emergency lights to pull Smith over, he went through a red light and hit speeds around 117mph, state police said in the complaint. He eventually crashed into another vehicle in Monroe Township, got out and ran into a soybean field to try and get away…
