Naples stormwater system improvement project ahead of schedule, city says

The City of Naples’ Stormwater Beach Outfall project, which included beach restoration and water quality improvements, is ahead of schedule with the four major construction components of the project all more than 60% complete, according to the city.

The project’s contractual deadline is June 4, 2027, and the contractor in charge of construction, Kiewit Infrastructure South Co., estimates it will be finished by May 2027, with the contractor theorizing it could be completed even earlier in 2027.

“Construction has entered the project’s final roadway, drainage, and watermain phase, with major utility work between 4th Avenue North and 1st Avenue North now substantially complete,” City of Naples spokesperson Monique Barnhart-Tiberio wrote in an Aug. 7 email to Naples Daily News…
