Jordy Nelson tees off with Milwaukee kids at Brown Deer Park golf clinic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Jordy Nelson returned to Wisconsin to help introduce dozens of Milwaukee-area kids to golf.

Nelson joined about 50 children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and First Tee – Southeast Wisconsin at Brown Deer Park Golf Course for Bank of America’s Golf with Us clinic. Participants practiced putting, chipping and swinging while learning lessons organizers say can apply beyond the golf course.

Nelson, who was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2023, said golf offers young people an opportunity to learn how to respond to challenges.

“It just offers a lot of things to kids and adults, being challenged,” Nelson said. “A lot of things can obviously translate to life, of dealing with the ups and downs of 18 holes.”…
