No criminal charges will be filed in the case of a dad and his toddler who were found safe about 60 miles away from their Illinois home, authorities said.

Todd Sabatini, 36, and his 22-month-old son Theo were initially reported missing on Saturday, Aug. 8, after they failed to return from a noon walk near their home in McHenry.

Authorities said at the time that “officers learned this is unusual behavior for Todd.” The dad “also reportedly did not have the necessary provisions for an extended excursion with Theo,” police said…
