For the better part of 50 years, Michael Jaquish collected artifacts and treasures from around the world.
From his time as a police chief in Okanogan County to his days as an international security consultant in West Africa, Jaquish’s house was, as his friend Aric Frank said, a beautiful museum.
Jaquish had a smattering of oil paintings lining his walls, a collection of Buddhist texts written in Tibetan, a brass microscope from 1851, three sets of medieval armor, a marble life-size skull he picked up in an antique store in New York City, a bolt-action carbine rifle replica of the one that killed John F. Kennedy, and three lifetimes’ worth of other items…
