A pedestrian was taken to a hospital earlier this afternoon (Tuesday) following a crash near the Vienna Community Center.
Police officers and a medic were dispatched to Park Street SE at Cherry Street SE at around 1:22 p.m. after a witness called 911 for what was initially described as a pedestrian hit-and-run crash with an injury, according to the Town of Vienna Police Department (VPD) and scanner traffic.
The VPD warned community members that there would be “a heavy police presence” in the area between Locust Street SE and Moore Avenue SE due to “an active police investigation.”…
