AFTON, Va. (WVIR) -The Rockfish Valley Community Center is making a push to finish a 14-year transformation project and is asking the public for help.
The total cost of the project is $64,000. The center has raised $33,000 so far and needs to raise $20,000 more to unlock a matching grant of the same amount.
“We also have several community groups, groups of adults that just enjoy playing soccer that come and play recreationally in the evening or on weekends, and that has produced very high demands for this soccer field,” RVCC CEO Sara Taylor said. “So much so it has been difficult to find enough leveled safe space.”…
