MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Myrtle Beach is down to four finalists in its search for a new police chief, and community members got a chance to question each candidate during a public forum.
Attendees asked the candidates about their vision for the city and how they would approach public safety in a tourism-driven community.
Frederick Chambers said he wants to learn more before offering a detailed vision, adding that “community engagement” is important and that he is “data driven when it comes to policing and intelligence led policing and making sure our resources are in the places they need it and be willing to adjust when when needed.”…
