NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An 18-year-old and a 22-year-old are still recovering in the hospital a week after a car accident at the corner of Stratford Avenue and Kennedy Avenue on Aug. 1, just after 8:30 p.m.
The girls’ mother, April Adkinson, is speaking out from the hospital. She said by the time her daughters saw the pickup truck coming toward them, it was too late to react. They said the driver was speeding and hit multiple cars and utility poles before barreling into them.
“My girls were coming back from the store, and they had made it to the intersection,” Adkinson said.
