TEXOMA (KXII) – Whether planting flowers, building a fence or installing a mailbox, Oklahoma law requires residents and contractors to call 811 at least 48 hours before any digging project — and a spokesperson for Oklahoma Natural Gas says the stakes are high for those who skip the step.
Carson Cunningham, with Oklahoma Natural Gas, said calling 811 is both a legal requirement and a matter of personal safety.
