FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) — A former federal correctional officer at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Bennettsville is accused of accepting tens of thousands of dollars in bribes to smuggle contraband into the prison.
A federal grand jury in Florence indicted Joseph Michael Templeton, 30, of Elgin, on charges of bribery, money laundering and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
