RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) — A driver caught speeding at 140 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 15 in Temecula, in Riverside County, was stopped by the California Highway Patrol and arrested for reckless driving.
The arrest was made under California Vehicle Code 23103, which defines reckless driving as “willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property.”
CHP also impounded the vehicle.
