HARRISBURG – Rep. Gary Day (R-Lehigh) is inviting high school students throughout the 187th Legislative District to participate in his “State Representative for a Day” essay contest.
The contest is open to students in grades 9-12. Participants are asked to identify a real-world issue they believe should be addressed by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and propose a practical solution.
“Young people bring valuable perspectives to the issues facing our communities and Commonwealth,” Day said. “This contest will give students an opportunity to think critically about public policy, develop a realistic solution and learn how ideas can become laws. I look forward to reading their proposals.”…
