VIDALIA, Ga. (WSAV) — A 25-year-old man from Savannah was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder in connection with a July 4 shooting in Vidalia, a GBI spokesperson said.
Joel Anton-Jamaal Brown was already in custody for unrelated charges when he was arrested following the GBI’s investigation.
Brown was charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and false statements and writings.
Rashad Lamar Lumpkin, of Atlanta, was found at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
