2 men indicted for Coney Island mass shooting that wounded 8, including multiple children

Two Coney Island men were indicted for allegedly carrying out a mass shooting in their own backyard, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez says.

Robert Smith and Kevin Blunt are accused of opening fire at a Fourth of July family barbecue, wounding eight people, including four children – and killing the youngest victim’s 10-week-old puppy. Prosecutors say around 50 people were at the celebration.
