A fatal crash occurred Aug. 9 at the intersection of State Road 50 and County Road 581 in Hernando County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A Jeep Commander was traveling eastbound on SR 50 while a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on CR 581. The Jeep driver failed to stop at a red traffic signal and entered the intersection, where the vehicle collided with the motorcycle.
