Chili Verde Mexican Grill in Loveland is Changing – Here’s What We Know

It can be hard enough for any restaurant in Colorado to become successful. One spot n in Downtown Loveland has a tough location, but isn’t shutting its doors.

Chili Verde Mexican Grill in Downtown Loveland Hasn’t Closed, Exactly

Downtown Loveland does have a few great Mexican restaurants, Cactus Grille on 4th Street, The Egg Kings, also on 4th Street, and Senor Rafael at Mexican Inn on Lincoln Avenue. Since October of 2025, Chili Verde Mexican Grill has been “giving it a go” at 116 South Lincoln.

They did go through an ownership change in 2026, and in July of 2026, the restaurant was even featured with a review by Green Chile Reviews:

It wasn’t long after that review, that it really looked like Chili Verde had decided to quit the game. Then, in about mid-August, I was searching “is Chili Verde Mexican Grill in Loveland closed?” and discovered there is a new plan for the restaurant.

It looks like they have teamed up wit the Buzz Kill Mobile Food Truck, and will be merging the two restaurants’ menus. It’s hard to tell if the restaurant will keep the same name when it reopens:

It would be great to see a restaurant really gain some ground at that location, again. Antonio’s Burritos Plus was there from at least 2007 to 2021; then 2 Amigos Cantina took over the spot in 2021 until 2025, when Chili Verde came in…
