PARMA, Ohio — Due to rising costs creating budgetary constraints, the Parma fire department recently updated its fee structure.
“The reason why we’re doing this now is the last time these fee structures were updated was 2018,” Parma Fire Chief Lou Davis said.
“Over the last eight years, our costs for firefighter increases have gone up over 23%, whereas the top level pay for a firefighter in 2021 to now has gone up 22.3%…
