Burglars cause tens of thousands in damage at longtime Southern California market

The owners of a longtime Anaheim market are asking for the public’s help after burglars broke into the store, stole cash and merchandise and left behind tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

The break-in happened at a La Reina Markets location around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a statement the company posted on social media.

Surveillance images shared by the store show at least two people inside the market, their faces covered with light-colored cloth, as well as an overturned cash drawer and merchandise scattered across the floor behind the checkout counters.

“These guys have many identifying tattoos/features and were wearing yellow Timberlands and black/white Jordans,” the company said in its statement. “They stole money, products, and caused tens of thousands of dollars of damage.”…
