HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Events ranging from rodeos, livestock shows, concerts, and county fairs are set to take place as Horry County moves closer to breaking ground on a new rural civic center.
The facility will sit on 500 acres along Hardwick Road in Conway, near the intersection of Highways 501 and 22. It will feature an indoor arena, an equestrian and livestock barn, and an outdoor fairgrounds space for vendor markets and fairs.
When events are not scheduled, the center will also serve as a hurricane response resource, with a vehicle marshalling area and a National Guard Readiness Center on site…
