OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Mayor John Ewing attended a ribbon cutting Wednesday at Kountze Park, where a newly renovated playground and sprayground opened, and outlined his plans for parks funding going forward.
As part of his proposed budget, city parks would receive up to $5 million — an amount Ewing said he intends to match with contributions from the philanthropic community.
“My intent is to keep the five million dollars that we put in the budget, in the budget. And then have the philanthropic community partner with us for five million dollars,” Ewing said.
