PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers traveling through Pinellas County next week will face a series of lane closures across several major corridors, according to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 roadwork update for August 16 through August 22, 2026.
Along US 19, multiple segments are scheduled for overnight maintenance. Work between Tampa Road and Tarpon Avenue will require lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly, beginning Sunday, August 16, and ending Thursday, August 20. Two other stretches of US 19—from SR 580 (Main Street) to SR 586 (Curlew Road), and from Drew Street to SR 580—will see night closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. across those same dates.
On ALT US 19 (Bayshore Boulevard), crews will restrict traffic with flagging operations between Wilson Street and Tradewinds Drive. Those closures run from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. nightly from Sunday through Thursday.
Continuous 24-hour lane restrictions also remain in effect on several routes. Eastbound SR 60 (Gulf to Bay Boulevard) has 24-hour closures active between South Bayshore Boulevard and Dr. Kiran C.
